Comanche
  Day 2
Day 3
(this page)
Day 4
Day 5

greetings (he's not ready to halter)
Interested, but shy: hiding behind his new girlfriend Windy
Asking him to lower, wait& release for a tiny softening but don't push for a full give at the poll
After halter & petting, I'm going back to asking but don't pull hard, just hold
First approach to hind leg
Grooming, he's not quite sure, he's free to walk, but doesn't.
First encounter with a quilted pad, note slack rope. I'm not totally in front of him but a bit to the side for my safety in case I miss something -- Slingshot, Rositta, and Windy are loose in the pen with Comanche and I
The sound of my nails on the pad gets him a little worried. I had a hunch this might happen. I raised the pad slowly and hold it, he'd be too worried if I waved the pad wildly.
Velcro noise!
halter off is just as important as on. I'm asking him to tip his head, it took us a few minutes...
...a few minutes taking the halter off properly earn us a quiet and nice good-bye. I walk off, he lingers.
